Biography

Bert Wright was the caretaker who lived and worked at Mount Grace School and was asked to help form the club in 1960. He soon became a manager and with his involvement at the school the club benefited so much through the use of facilities.

Later in life he took up bowls and the two sports dominated his life.
He became President of the football club in 1988 and led the Club into its 50th year in 2010, when he was awarded the Football Association and Hertfordshire Football Association 50 years Achievenent Award.

He was known by everyone as a gentle and kind man and was always proud of all the Clubs achievements.

Sadly Bert passed away on January 25th 2012 but his legacy to the club will live on forever.
