Bert Wright was the caretaker who lived and worked at Mount Grace School and was asked to help form the club in 1960. He soon became a manager and with his involvement at the school the club benefitted so much through the use of facilities.
Later in life he took up bowls and the two sports have dominated his life.
He became President in 1988 and though now in his 90's he leads a very active life and will lead the Club into its 50th year in 2010.
